If you are looking for the perfect durable kitchen sink for your home, you might want to consider a granite kitchen sink. Granite kitchen sinks offer both the style you want to make your kitchen look great and the functionality you need to make your kitchen functional. When choosing your granite sink, consider not only your budget but also the design that will make your kitchen a room you would love to spend time in.

Franke has a line of Mythos granite sinks that is simple but elegant in its geometric design. This contemporary rectangular design is installed by self rimming and includes two basins. There are many optional accessories available such as counter tops, faucets, side sprays, sink drains, soap dispensers and water dispensers that maximize the benefits of this particular design. It also includes a colander, cutting board, drain basket and drain tray along with the choice of graphite or white granite finish. The Mythos granite sink costs less than $1000 before accessories.

The Whittington Collection carries a polished granite double well farmhouse sink with a prep bowl and natural chiseled apron front. This beautiful sink is handcrafted from natural granite with a polished back, interior and sides but an unpolished chiseled apron front. This design is easy to clean and should be treated with StoneTech sealer for its seal stone. This sink also has optional support bars and can be found in polished blue gray or polished black. This Whittington sink costs just over $1000 for the black design and nearly $1200 for the blue gray sink.

A much less expensive option is Swanstone’s granite two-bowl kitchen sink. This black design can replace nearly any existing kitchen sink that needs an upgrade and made with 80% natural quartz stone, so it is virtually indestructible. It can be installed as a drop-in or an undermount with its nine-inch deep bowls. This sink costs a little more than $200. Swanstone also offers other undermount designs from between $200 and $400 depending on your specific needs and accessories.

Whether you want to replace your current sink with crushed granite sinks or are building a new kitchen from scratch, granite kitchen sinks are a great investment for your kitchen’s durability and functionality. The right granite kitchen sink could be the centerpiece of your kitchen or simply one of the many components you use to make your kitchen beautiful. In either case, be sure that your granite sink fits your needs.
