Arguably, the most beautiful and durable substance that is abundant in the Earth’s crust is that of granite. Granite is found throughout the world and is becoming a symbol of modern home and workplace design. Its beauty has made it a staple of modern kitchens and bathrooms and its durability has made it the go to option for countless workplaces across the nation and world. However, the true beauty of granite is its uniqueness.
Granite colors are never the same and each slab of granite has its own unique and different color. This difference is because the color a slab of granite assumes is directly dependent on the minerals and substances present when the rock was formed a long time ago. Since the concentrations of these minerals are different throughout the whole world the colors are different as well. In fact, granite can be found in an immensely large variety of colors ranging from deep blacks to bright whites and everything in between.
On top of the bold and unique colors is the grain of the material which is stunning as well. Granite is hard, nearly as hard as diamond, and the grains and substances it is made up of shine when a slab is properly cut and polished. Just as with the color, the grain and splendor of the granite is unique to each and every environment and no two slabs will ever share the same look. It’s this uniqueness that makes each and every type, style and color of granite stunning.
The traditional and most common granite color is a black or a dark gray. This color is the staple of modern kitchen and bathroom design and fits well into many different color themes. However, there are also many other colors that can be found to fit even the most unique color design schemes. Granite can be white or brown; it can be a light gray or even a dark blue. In fact, there are so many color options that finding the right one can be overwhelming.
In all, while granite is a unique and stunning substance it is also rather expensive, and the array of colors available can make picking the perfect one a daunting task. None the less, do good research as to the colors you prefer and be sure to visualize many different shades and tints to ensure that your money is spent wisely. Do so, and you will find yourself in love with your new kitchen, bathroom or workplace for a very long time.
